We love Him because He first loved us.

Music at Calvary

Music is an important part of the liturgy at Calvary. The Parish Choir of Calvary Church is committed to excellence in performance at both worship services and non-liturgical musical events. You can hear the choir in all of its glory every Sunday during the 10:00 am service September through June. Special services such as Evensong and Lessons and Carols showcase the special talents of our choir.

Sing With Us

Children's Choir
If you are interested in participating in this ministry, the choir is open, by audition, to men and women of all denominations. The choir maintains the highest standards of Anglican choral practice with rehearsals during the week. Of course, we welcome and encourage everyone to sing with us during each service!

Listen To The Music

We are pleased to offer the Calvary Episcopal Church Choir Music player that has a few excerpts from a recent Evensong. Click on a Title to start playing.

About the music: All excerpts are by Roland Martin and directed by our own Debi Overton. You can hear our wonderful choir every week during the 10 o'clock service.

More Music

Calvary offers the Niederlander Carillon for the Town of Williamsville to enjoy. The Niederlander Carillon, a gift of Mr. and Mrs.. Daniel B. Niederlander, is the only authentic carillon in Western New York. It is one of 178 in North America. Initially a chime of 15 bells in 1959, it was expanded by Mrs.. Niederlander to a 37 bell Carillon in 1966. In 1995, through contributions of generous donors, 7 bells were added creating the only 44-bell, 3 1/2 octave carillon in North America. The Carillonneur, seated at the console, uses both fists and feet to activate the clappers. There is no electrical assist in this process.

Summer Concert Series

The Carillon Concert Series is the fulfillment of a dream envisioned by Daniel and Grace Niederlander, that their gift of the Carillon would be the focal point of a concert series given for the Church and the Community. On Wednesday evenings during July (excepting Old Home Days Wednesday) and the first two Wednesdays in August a two-part musical program is presented. It features a concert on the Niederlander Carillon by national and international Carillonneurs, followed by a second concert of varied musical offerings During that time over 25,000 people have attended this unique offering. The 2008 series starts July 2, 2008. For further information about the Carillon Concert Series, please contact Series Coordinator Gloria Werblow.
